اردو تفسیر نگاری کا پس منظر اورتفہیم القرآن کی خصوصیات

              بر صغیر پاک و ہند میں اردو میں ترجمہ و تفاسیر کا آغاز سولھویں صدی عیسوی میں ہوا لیکن یہ متفرق سورتوں اور پاروں سے آگے نہ بڑھ سکا۔ اردو زبان میں سب سے پہلا تشریحی ترجمہ حکیم محمد شریف خان بن محمد اکمل خان(م۱۲۲۲ھ) نے لکھا۔ یہ ترجمہ شائع نہیں ہوا اور ان کے خاندان میں محفوظ ہے۔ ہندوستان میں پہلی اردو تفسیر، چراغ ابدی ہے جو مولوی عزیز اللہ ہمرنگ  اورنگ آبادی نے ۱۲۲۱ھ میں لکھی۔ یہ صرف تیسویں پارے کی تفسیر ہے۔ اسی طرح شاہ مراد اللہ انصاری سنبھلی کی تصنیف خدائی نعمت بہ معروف تفسیر مرادی بہت مقبول ہوئی۔ یہ بھی تیسویں پارے کی تفسیر ہے اور تین سو صفحات پر مشتمل ہے۔ یہ۱۱۸۵ھ میں مکمل ہوئی۔

              ہندوستان کے معروف محدث شاہ ولی اللہ کے فرزند شاہ رفیع الدین (م۱۲۳۲ھ۱۸۱۷ء )نے ۱۲۰۰ھ میں قرآن مجید کا ترجمہ لکھا جو کہ مختصر اور جامع لفظی ترجمہ ہے۔ شاہ رفیع الدین کے چھوٹے بھائی شاہ عبدالقادر (۱۲۳۰ھ، ۱۸۱۵ء ) نے ۱۲۰۵ھ میں موضح قرآن کے نام سے اردو زبان میں قرآن کا ترجمہ اور حواشی لکھے۔ شاہ صاحب کا یہ ترجمہ اپنے دور کے لحاظ سے بہترین ترجمہ ہے۔ اس میں عربی الفاظ کے مناسب ترین اردو اور ہندی مترادفات کو استعمال کیا گیا ہے۔ شاہ عبدالقادر کی اس تصنیف کو اردو زبان کی پہلی مکمل تفسیر قرار دیا جا سکتا ہے۔ سر سید احمد خان (۱۸۱۷ء۔ ۱۸۹۸ء)کی تفسیر"تفسیر القرآن" بدلتے ہوئے حالات کے تناظر میں خصوصی اہمیت رکھتی ہے۔ اس کی پہلی جلد ۱۸۸۰ء میں شائع ہوئی۔ سرسید احمد خان کا دور مسلمانوں کے انحطاط اور انگریزی غلبے کی وجہ سے کش مکش کا دور تھا۔ جدید تہذیب کے زیر اثر عقلیت پسندی اور قدیم روایات  سے انحراف کی کئی مثالیں سامنے آ رہی تھیں۔ اس عہد کی تفاسیر...

Multiple Intelligences: Learners VS Teachers

The study investigated the relationship of the multiple intelligences of the Bachelor of Secondary Education students and their teachers in their major subjects. Four hundred eighty-five (485) BSED students and twenty-two (22) teachers in their respective major subjects participated. The result demonstrates statistically significant in the multiple intelligences of the Bachelors of Secondary Education Major in Technology and Livelihood Education and Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health and their teachers in their respective major subjects. However, result also demonstrates no significance in the multiple intelligences of the Bachelors of Secondary Education Major in Filipino, English, and Mathematics and their teachers in their respective major subjects. The study shows that the dominant intelligences of the BSED students and their teachers in their major subjects are the interpersonal, intrapersonal, and their suited intelligences for their major subjects. The result evidently showed that the BSED students and their major teachers are people and self smart. This only shows that as a teacher, one should know how to socialize appropriately with others and have a deeper understanding with themselves. It also showed that the teachers are really smarter than their students in their major field of specialization. Educators must also consider the multiple intelligences of their students to fully develop their learning capabilities.

Influence of "Txt-Speak" on the mechanics of Creative Writing: A Case study of BS(Hons) English Students At NUML Writing has an influential position in educational setting as everyday students write different pieces of writing. Essay writing comes under the category of non-fiction creative writing. Students write different kinds of Essays in their colleges and universities. There are many mechanics of essay writing such as; spellings, punctuation marks, parts of speech, vocabulary and grammar etc. All of these mechanics make an essay intelligible and comprehensible. Any essay written without these mechanics look ‘shallow’. From the last few years, a discussion arose that all of these mechanics are declining due to the features of txt-speak. Present study focuses on to explore that whether txt-speak has any influence to bring the change in the mechanics of essay writing. For this reason, two questionnaires were developed. The purpose of developing two questionnaires was to get as original responses as possible. Conceptual frame work of the present study is related to the two motives of language change: Economy and Expressiveness. Through the analysis of second questionnaire it was found that features of txt-speak have both of these two motives of language change. In order to meet the objectives of the study, samples of the frequent users’ text messages and essay writings that features of txt-speak were prominent in the writings of the frequent users of texting. After this, comparison of the essay writings of frequent and non-frequent users shows that txt- speak is bringing change in two mechanics of writing such as parts of speech and spellings besides this there was no significant difference was observed with respect to punctuation marks. Present study also go against to the opinions of those people who say that language is declining due to txt- speak. It is a fact that whenever a new thing comes in society it is appreciated by some people and few other do not like this change. Present study also focuses on that it’s wrong to say txt-speak is good or bad rather it is totally up to the users of that language. When this language would have enough speakers then get status in society. For present study, through triangulation data was collected and it was analyzed through both ways; qualitatively and quantitatively.
